The Red Dot Design Award is an international design competition. For more than 60 years, this accolade has been bestowed on products that set new standards. In the recent past, selected Victorinox products have received this coveted award a number of times. The awards for 2018 are a testament to this having been achieved once again.

Every blade of the Swiss Classic Collection is formed of wear-resistant stainless steel, to enable effortless cutting. The edges rarely requires sharpening. The collection extends from a 11 cm Wavy edge tomato knife to a 25 cm Fluted blade for large cuts. The steel blades are made of a correct alloy for a cutting edge retention, corrosion protection and flexibility. Made in accordance with Regulation (EG) no. 1935/2004 for products that come into contact with food.

The handles of the Swiss Classic Collection are made of Polypropylene and it exhibits good strength, rigidity and hardness. Suitable for sterilisation and can be used at temperatures of up to 80 – 100°C.
Comfortable for long use, the safety nose also adds a layer of protection.


Spanning across various shapes, all steel blades are made of martensitic stainless steel.
The knives form the Swiss Classic Collection are dish washer safe.
